Graduate Program

At Mom’s House we believe that consistency in early care and education is essential to children’s growth and development. We also know that childcare is expensive and can be difficult to afford when you’ve just finished your educational program. Because of this, our Board of Directors has created a “Graduate Program.”

The Graduate Program allows the parent to apply for the childcare subsidy through the state and their Early Learning Resource Center (Child Care Works). Once approved the state will determine the parent’s co-pay for care depending on income. Mom’s House will accept the Child Care Works funding form the state and the parent will pay the co-pay to Mom’s House.

Who is eligible?

Any Mom’s House client in good standing who has completed their course of study with an age eligible child currently enrolled at Mom’s House.

Tuition?

The tuition rates for care are as follows:

Infants & Toddlers (3 months to 24 months) – $270/week Full-time, $200/week Part-time

Older Toddler & Preschoolers (25 months to 5 years) – $230/week Full-time, $160/week Part-time

Full-time is 5 days/week, 5 or more hours/day.

Part-time is 5 days/week, less than 5 hours/day or 3 days/week.

Who Pays?

The parent will pay the determined co-pay to Mom’s House each week. Child Care Works will pay Mom’s House the remainder of the weekly tuition. For example, a parent’s co-pay will be $15/week for their preschooler fulltime. The parent will pay Mom’s House the $15 each week and Child Care Works will pay the remaining $215.

Other Requirements?

Parents who participate in the Graduate Program will be required to do the following:

  • Complete 1 hour of Service each month
  • Attend ALL Parent Seminars
  • Participate in Fundraising Activities

Please note that the mission of Mom’s House is to provide childcare for parents who are actively enrolled in a program of study. The Graduate Program is offered to help in the transition from school to work if there is a childcare spot available.  If the childcare spot taken by a Graduate Program family is needed by a parent actively enrolled in school, Mom’s House will assist the Graduate Program family in finding alternate care that suits the family’s needs.  In most cases Child Care Works funding is transferable and will be accepted at other centers in the area.
